Zephyr 7B Alpha is the first model in Hugging Face's Zephyr series of chat assistants, a 7B fine-tune of Mistral 7B v0.1 published as open weights under the MIT licence. Hugging Face says it removed the built-in alignment of its UltraChat and UltraFeedback training data, which made the model more helpful but also more likely to produce problematic text.
