Privacy Statement

1. Who is responsible

AI Radar is a personal project by Benjamin Nieuwenhuijzen. It is not a commercial service. For privacy questions you can reach the maintainer by email at info@ai-radar.eu or via the contact page.

2. What is stored on your device

AI Radar keeps a small amount of information in your browser's local storage so the dashboard remembers how you like to use it. This includes:

• your theme preference (light or dark);
• your motion preference (on or off);
• the list of posts you saved.

This information stays on your device. It is never sent to AI Radar or to anyone else, and it is not used to identify or track you. Because it is strictly necessary for the functionality you requested, no consent is required for it under the GDPR and the ePrivacy rules. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this site. View and filter settings are not stored at all: they are kept in the page address (URL). What you type into a search box is never stored, put in the address or sent anywhere; it stays in the open page.

3. Hosting and server logs

The dashboard and its Model History pages are hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.), which delivers them through its content delivery network (Fastly). As with any website, the host automatically receives standard technical request data — including your IP address, the type of browser you use and the page you requested — in order to deliver the page and keep the service secure. This processing is carried out by GitHub as the hosting provider. AI Radar has no analytics layer of its own and does not combine this data with anything else to identify you. GitHub's handling of this data is described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.

The domain name ai-radar.eu and the email address info@ai-radar.eu are provided by TransIP, which therefore processes the email you send to that address.

4. Where the content comes from

The posts and the model data you see are loaded from AI Radar's own pages and data files, served from the same domain. They are prepared in advance and contain no information about you, so viewing them involves no third party other than the host described above. Images are served from ai-radar.eu itself and the page loads no fonts from other services, so your browser makes no requests to third parties such as Google Fonts or image hosts.

When you open an article or a source, the link takes you to the original publisher's website or to an archived copy (for example at web.archive.org), which is outside AI Radar's control and has its own privacy policy. The automatic checks of source addresses run on GitHub's servers, never in your browser.

5. Email subscription (optional)

If you choose to subscribe to the AI Radar feed by email, this is handled by the third-party service Blogtrottr. You enter your email address at Blogtrottr and confirm it by email; your address never reaches AI Radar. The subscription is governed by Blogtrottr's privacy policy, and you can unsubscribe from any email.

6. No personal data collected by AI Radar

AI Radar itself has no accounts, no contact forms, no newsletter list and no profiling. It does not collect, sell or share personal data.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have rights to access, correct and erase personal data, among others. Because AI Radar holds no personal data about you, there is nothing on its side to access or erase. For the data stored on your own device, you are in control: clear it through your browser at any time. For the technical request data handled by the host, see the GitHub Privacy Statement linked above. For any question, use the contact channel in section 1.

8. Audience

AI Radar is a general-interest news dashboard and is not directed at children.

9. Changes to this statement

This statement may be updated if the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
