Privacy Statement

1. Who is responsible

AI Radar is a personal project by Benjamin Nieuwenhuijzen. It is not a commercial service. For privacy questions you can reach the maintainer by email at info@ai-radar.eu or via the contact page.

2. What is stored on your device

AI Radar keeps a small amount of information in your browser's local storage so the dashboard remembers how you like to use it and loads instantly. This includes:

• your theme preference (auto, light or dark);
• your filter choices, such as which companies, category and time period you selected;
• which posts you have already seen (to mark new items);
• a local cache of recently loaded posts, so the page shows content immediately on your next visit.

This information stays on your device. It is never sent to AI Radar or to anyone else, and it is not used to identify or track you. Because it is strictly necessary for the functionality you requested, no consent is required for it under the GDPR and the ePrivacy rules. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this site.

3. Hosting and server logs

The dashboard is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). As with any website, the host automatically receives standard technical request data — including your IP address, the type of browser you use and the page you requested — in order to deliver the page and keep the service secure. This processing is carried out by GitHub as the hosting provider. AI Radar has no analytics layer of its own and does not combine this data with anything else to identify you. 4. Where the content comes from

The posts you see are loaded primarily from AI Radar's own data file, served from the same domain. This file is prepared in advance and contains no information about you, so viewing the dashboard normally involves no third party other than the host described above.

If that file is temporarily unavailable, the dashboard can fall back to fetching feeds live. In that fallback case the request may pass through a public proxy service (such as allorigins.win, corsproxy.io or codetabs.com) or go directly to the source. Like any web request, this exposes your IP address to that service. These are independent third parties with their own privacy policies; they are used only as a fallback and not during normal use of the published site.

When you open an article, the link takes you to the original publisher's website, which is outside AI Radar's control and has its own privacy policy.

5. Email subscription (optional)

If you choose to subscribe to the AI Radar feed by email, this is handled by the third-party service Blogtrottr. You enter your email address at Blogtrottr and confirm it by email; your address never reaches AI Radar. The subscription is governed by Blogtrottr's privacy policy, and you can unsubscribe from any email.

6. No personal data collected by AI Radar

AI Radar itself has no accounts, no contact forms, no newsletter list and no profiling. It does not collect, sell or share personal data.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have rights to access, correct and erase personal data, among others. Because AI Radar holds no personal data about you, there is nothing on its side to access or erase. For the data stored on your own device, you are in control: clear it through your browser at any time. For the technical request data handled by the host, see the GitHub Privacy Statement linked above. For any question, use the contact channel in section 1.

8. Audience

AI Radar is a general-interest news dashboard and is not directed at children.

9. Changes to this statement

This statement may be updated if the dashboard changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
